Respect

What would make this world into a Utopia?

People respecting each other, perhaps as children, before finding out differences among us.

Why?

I grew up in the “Little Little Tokyo” area of L.A. That was the West Adams Crenshaw District. After being in the U.S. camps during WWII, many Japanese American families moved there. Kids got a long. Some of the families had had hard times, and so had many others. The tough kids called themselves Buddahead/ Spooks, combining the heritages. Different religions lived there, too. George Takai went to our junior high, a decade before us. It was a time of knowing each other. Some people married. Nieces and nephews, inlaws, etc. were all family. It turns out my mom’s DNA is from 1/3 of the countries of the world. Dad’s will probably take up another 1/3. I miss the days when people got along. Not long ago I spent @ a year going to court to support an Asian couple, seniors, who had been attacked for going to McDonalds. Asians are my nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins. Religious-wise, my family has born-again, Jewish, Black Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, and Native American religious beliefs. Latinex, African, European, etc. all are “us.” People respecting each other, and getting along would be my dream place. Everyone goes back to the 1st humans. I just admit to it. Who is better than their cousin? My Utopia? Respect for all!!! Constance C.
