What would make this world into a Utopia?
If billionaires were held accountable and gave back
Why?
There are currently nearly 200,000 unhoused families in California, and there are 197 billionaires. Each billionaire should be held accountable for 1,000 homeless families to solve this gross inequity so that all humans live in dignity and a culture of care.
Similarly, corporations should also be held accountable for poisoning the soil, water and air.
The vanity part of this could look like making affordable housing that is eco friendly and well-designed, with grocery stores and mental health care services nearby. But each billionaire would also need to send monthly payments to 1000 families in need each month that they are billioniaires.
Similarly, corporations should be spending 50% of their time cleaning up the sites they harm, and investing in things that benefit the commons such as community gardens, planting trees, grants and stipends for artists, free child care, and green energy farms. Naomi W.
